Problem
Our customer was the applications division of an industrial robot manufacturer. They hired AO to develop control programs for their robots for use in assembly lines.
Solution
One application programmed the robots to assemble hard disk drives. This system used several robot work cells and a conveyor system. Our work included software to coordinate timing of the stages of the process, as well as implementation of robot control for various assembly tasks.
Results
Our programmers installed the system on disk drive assembly lines for several manufacturers. These systems produced many thousands of hard disk drives.
